I'm leaving NYC today for the summer and I'm sad. :(

I'm exhuasted.
I'm done with first year law school in every way... done with finals, done with that writing competition (finished yesterday), and now I'm just chillin' until I leave NYC in 3 days. Okay, so I'm not exactly "chillin'." I have to pack. Everything. I'm only taking, like, 2 suitcases maybe, but I need to pack UP everything in my apartment because there are gonna be people subletting my place for 2.5 months. Not looking forward to that at all. For some reason, I don't think I need more than two hours to pack... I also need to do some laundry, but that could wait until Monday morning... Regardless, I'm still feeling really antsy. I can't sleep right, I feel somewhat nervous, it's like I'm waiting for something to hapen.
I need to nap, but I don't have time.
Fun news... everyone is visiting NYC right now! I've got 7 people staying at my place (Jon, George, James, Victor, Tien, Pam, and Stella), so it's wanting of floor space... And can we talk about the incredible difficulty there is in trying to make plans? And it's not as if people are opinionated... everyone knows that we will have a good ol' time no matter where we go or what we do, so people (myself included) are just noncommital about everything.
This weekend is gonna be CRAZY.

Wow.
I think I'm done.
I mean, I just finished by last final... a 24 hour take home. I turn it in in a little less than 3 hours, and then my law school free life begins (well, for the next 3 months, anyway). Also, I still have this journal writing-competition in which I'm taking part until Wednesday... but WHATEVER, I'M DONE with my first year in law school. I'm officially happy again.
It's about fucking time.

ooooh... so close! Can't lose steam now... must... keep... going...
For the first time since I have been on my self-induced lockdown, I met up with some non-law school folks... went downtown with Lynn, Deanna, and friends to the MTV/VH1 concert to celebrate the Tribeca Film Festival... Jewel... Robbie Williams... The Roots... Jimmy Fallon... Robert DeNiro... Wanda Sykes... Sean Paul... Norah Jones... etc... It was hot. Fantastic break... THANKS LYNN!!!

Alright kids, tomorrow is my younger brother Nikhil's 18th birthday. And Cinco de Mayo. Tomorrow's also my first final of the semester. Then the next one is Thursday. Then the following Monday, Then a take-home one that I pick up that Wednesday, drop off on Thursday... Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Perspectives on Legal Thought, & Foundations of the Regulatory State, respectively. Then it'll be the 15th of May. That's the day Matrix Reloaded comes out. That's the day before Mandisa's (and Janet's) birthday. That's the day that I officially (well, more or less... I still have the journal competition thing to do) finish my first year in law school.
My god, these next 10 days are gonna be vicious. See you/talk to you/drink with you then!!! (yes... if you're in NYC, the night of May 15th is booked. You'll be with me. Just plan on it.)
One quick thing... who's all coming to NYC for Memorial Day Weekend 2003?

Okay, I'm a big nerd, but go see X-Men 2 immediately. I loved it. And I think I loved it so much because when I was a kid, I pretty much lived in a pile of X-Men comics. I felt like an idiot when I was leaving the movie theater and wanted to answer all these questions that everyone around me was asking... I just wanted to be like,"Ummm, no, that wasn't ice on that dude, that was metal," or "actually no, that wasn't some weird red fish in the water," etc... nerd nerd nerd. Luckily, I didn't go out of my way to answer them. And how much did I love the end... let's talk about X-Men 3. It's gonna be good.
