wedding weekend | here's an e-mail I wrote to some of those most amazing people I know...

I'm back in my apartment in NYC, and I'm exhausted... all I want to do is sleep, but I can't sleep until I send this e-mail...

I have never experienced an event like Eric and Annalisa's wedding. Everyone I love coming together to celebrate the uniting of two of the most inspirational, talented, beautiful, amazing people any of us have had the distinct pleasure of knowing... I mean, face it, we all had HIGH hopes for this weekend, and somehow, each and every moment surpassed ALL of our expectations.

Eric and Anna - thank you for letting us share in this incredible moment. You both have no idea how important you are to all of us, and we all wish you two the greatest of lives together.

Basically the entire wedding party - I still can't get over how I have this picture framed and hung in my room of all of you before I really knew any of you... Lunar 1999... bizarre. Y'all are beautiful.

FunKtion & Dance2XS - I think since the OG's decided to put these groups together, we've wanted to instill something very important and valuable into each member... the incredible power of friendship, comraderie, and trust. I mean, dancing is amazing, it's something we all love to do, something we all have in common... but after it's all said and done, what you're left with are mere memories of dancing (and maybe a video... or 10), but friends standing right next to you, sharing in those memories, forever. We're family, we just are... I mean, could you believe that as we were standing, hugging, in that HUGE circle at the reception, that it didn't really matter where you were standing because to the right and to the left of you were individuals with whom you've shared something invaluable... I was looking around at every grinning face and realizing I could tell a story about each person that would make a complete stranger understand how incredibly important that person is to me.

Greenies, new and old - I'm still surprised we didn't end up singing or something during the reception, but I'm glad we didn't... damn, 10 drunk guys singing never really does anything good... :) Joining Greenies in '98, I remember wondering if I'd ever really understand what Greenie history was all about... I'm glad I figured it out with the help of you all... I look up to you probably more than you know.

In the end, thank you all for an incredible weekend. Call me if you're ever in NYC because we all need to cash in on these opportunities whenever we even have the slightest of chances.

Have you ever had such a dynamic change in mood that you start shaking?

I've been feeling vaguely down about myself for the past month or so... this entire interview process really efficiently breaks one's spirit. Regardless, in the middle of my human rights class today, I got a call from one of my top choice firms offering me a summer associate position.

You have no idea how thrilled I am... this seriously changes everything.

dating - how many people do you know that actually "date?" I mean, every relationship I've ever been in has been more evolutionary than that... I meet someone in a friendly setting, we become close for reasons other than to form a lasting relationship, and things just happen. And then you're in a relationship.

So now I've started to explore this "dating" option. Meeting someone and immediately working with this notion of "I want to know more about this girl so it can maybe lead to something else..." I mean, it what everyone talks about, but who actually regularly engages in it? And maybe dating lends itself to a certain type... I just don't know if that type is me.

Okay, so big thing (for me atleast)...

I've stopped dancing.

Of course when I say this, I mean choreographed dancing... the occasional lounge will still see me every now and then, but dancing with groups is out of my life now. It was weird making this change... I've been dancing basically non-stop since '98, and now it's over... and for what? School.

Ridiculous... I hate prioritizing.
