It was definitely one of those nights after which you come home with no voice because of all the excited screaming across the club, tired from all the dancing, and just happiness because of all the people who were there. I guess Coral Room's the new hot spot to be on Saturday nights. Amazing.

I have an addictive personality, I think. My parents keep telling me that, I think as a preventative measure from me turning alcoholic or compulsive gambler. I also think that I get very quickly addicted to good times. I know, it sounds silly, but if I have an amazing weekend with friends, I don’t understand why we all can’t meet up every day and do the exact same thing. I mean, what’s wrong with splitting some bottles of wine amongst 10-15 people and chatting until 4am?

It’s fascinating how people’s standards rise the longer he/she has stayed out of a relationship. One would think that it would be the other way around… standards lower as time goes on. However, the more people I see that have chosen to stay out of relationships have these evolved ideals and sensibilities in re: their potential significant others. This, I believe, is for one of two reasons… either they have actively stayed out of relationships because the more they think about it, the more they decide they “need,” or the longer they have stayed out of a relationship, the more idealistic/unrealistic they get about inherent qualities in their potential mates. What happens when ideals get too high? Are these folks doomed to be inevitably disappointed? Or are there actually people out there who are actually that ideal? And another thing… do different people have similar basic expectations (i.e. career, looks, background, blah blah blah), and if so, aren’t there a limited number of people who even fit this equation, meaning that some are going to be left without that quasi-perfect partner?

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS goes out to MIKKI AND IVAN who just had their first baby girl. Her name is Mia, she was born on Saturday morning (2/7), she was 7lbs., and she's perfect.

Don't have a whole lot of time to type, but the moral of the story is that I spent the weekend upstate in Rochester with my a cappella group for the quarter-final round of an international competition, and we won. Happy day.
