It has been exactly 3 years to the day since I moved to NYC. Only 7 more years until I'm a New Yorker.

Apparently there's a fun week of work ahead. Actually, no, I take that back... there's a fun week of work-related events going on... Yesterday was a free lunch with the Tax Dept (you all are killing yourselves with boredom right now), then today going to another free lunch with a partner and then doing this Go Game thing. Have any of you ever heard about that? It's apparently this scavenger hunt in downtown Manhattan where you get all this random technology (GPS things, digital cameras and phones, random stuff like that) to give you clues and all that. So my firm set it up so my summer class is gonna do that... and then we're going on a pub crawl after that (side note: is a pub crawl the same thing as bar hopping?). Then tomorrow there's another free lunch with a judge, then on Thursday, we're going to dinner at the Palm and then going to see Wicked. It's a good thing I really enjoy the people in my summer class here.
Lots of stuff going on this weekend as well... Michelle and Lacey will be in town, I'm going skydiving, some birthdays, etc etc etc... call me!

It's 8:50pm and I'm at work. I'll probably be here until midnight-ish.
This isn't a surprise at all, and I'm actually doing work, not waiting around, so altogether, it's not bad... I mean, I DO like my job... HOWEVER, I hate times like these because I have to choose work over my friends... It's Chau's birthday tomorrow, but folks were celebrating tonight... and I couldn't go. It sucks, I feel as though I'm letting her down completely. I know she understands, but still. I dunno, it's just an example, I'm sure, of what's ahead. A life full of making decisions that I'd rather not make.
Wow, that doesn't sound good.

I'm at work. I love work. But I'm not that busy right now so I feel as though I could be doing something else useful... like blogging.
San Diego was amazing... I mainly chilled with Lilly and her peoples, but the time spent with the masses was fantastic. I still can't believe a virtual dance battle erupted in the parking lot of that boba place... I was simultaneously thrilled and horrified. But then Jon G made it all okay with his Hongshin impression... Seriously, Gotianse was channeling HPan. Scary.
I think a very specific mixture of alcohols make me emotional. I need to figure out what that is because it all comes about in very awkward situations.
