Tonight, we had the best party ever. Sammy hooked it up... I e-mailed everyone... and then, like magic, there were, I dunno, 200 people that I was amazed and incredibly glad to see... Beautiful things, friends getting together after sort of a long time, meeting and greeting, reconnecting and making brand new connections. New friends are nice, I'll tell you that right now.
Sometimes, at these sorts of events, you see things unfold that you've sort of been waiting for... truths come to light, new shades of grey become clear as day, and everything else in between... I don't know what to make of it.
Good times. I can't wait to have the aftermath-conversations tomorrow.

Tonight, Mandisa made spaghetti with feta, carmelized onions, lemon olive oil, assorted fresh herbs, etc... and some spicy cornbread... and bought some chianti to go along with it. I was studying, she was cooking. I just had my second helping. Cornbread's almost ready.
My god, I love my roommate.

this is weird.
every time I really want to post something on this site, I feel the need to speak vaguely, like I'm speaking in code. It's not like that many people read this blog, and it's not like the people who might read it don't have a substantively clear understanding of what I'm talking about (whenever I'm a tad less than specific)... So what am I worried about? I mean, it's not even like I have something crazy or unexpected to say.
