It's 7:16pm on Sunday night, and I'm at work. The bizarre thing is that I absolutely don't mind.

Now, I know things will inevitably come to the point where I'll dread the very notion of going to work on a weekend... But I feel like I have spent the past 3 years psyching myself up for the long hours I was supposed to be pulling... and since I haven't really worked long hours since starting at the firm, coming into work outside of regular business hours is sort of a welcome change... I'm actually doing what I expected I'd do... and so now things make sense.

This "working hard" thing also gives me an excuse to continue "playing hard."

Okay, so that's another issue... I might be playing too hard... but that's a story for another day.

Yet another non-sequitor: my new iPod nano has been the cause of a recent outbreak of songs that I'm embarrassed to love.

These songs include, but are not limited to "Round and Round" (Tevin Campbell) and "Justified and Ancient" (KLF)... Jesus, what's wrong with me...

That's all, back to work.

random non sequitor for your day: As I was leaving yet another recruiting lunch (I was the one interviewing! Not the one being interviewed! Whoa!), Katie Couric held the door open for us. Very touching. She is a tiny tiny mini person. Go Katie!

I'm getting old.

I went to this party tonight with tons of potential. Great friends, amazing DJ, beautiful AND friendly crowd (a rare combination), an extremely cool vibe, a dope space, and bouncers who aren't mean, even when the (fast-moving) line extends around the block.

I got there around 11:45... got into the place around 12:15... left right around 1am. Why?

Because I'm tired. Exhausted. I actually napped for 2 hours today, but to no avail. Apparently, the disco nap no longer brings the party.
